Tips for Disaster Preparedness

You never know when a disaster may occur. Being prepared is never a bad idea. Here are some tips for disaster preparedness:

    • Water and food for 3 days (1 gallon of water per person per day).
    • Supplies for babies and pets.
    • Hygiene products and feminine supplies.
    • Sleeping bags or blankets.
    • Cellphones and chargers.
    • Medicine and eyewear.
    • Important documents and contact information for people you know and trust.
    • First aid kit and flashlight.
  • Know where to go for safety.
  • Communicate with family and keep records safe.
  • Create inventories of belongings (take photos or videos).
  • Digitize important documents and store them securely.
  • Include driver’s licenses, passports, Social Security cards, etc.
